My nine year old daughter and I love the classic shift💚

Since changing jobs, I’ve had few anxious moments. That said, I’ve found my Komuso to be a wonderful focusing tool. I use it to help me center and focus when I am about to start a demanding task. Helps me get to mindfulness to be fully engaged. Also, don’t let the size surprise/deter you. I’ve found the size convenient to wear and the weight helps remind me of substance and aids in centering. Do I recommend it? Yes. I bought one each for my kids.

I have three children all whom are undertaking remote learning this year. Before the pandemic, I had a daily space and time carved out in which I practiced mindful movement and breathing. It was a wonderful practice that helped me draw upon the breath in moments of real stress or anxiety. Fast forward to the applied stay at home orders and resulting precautions due to the pandemic, I no longer have the same space or time in which I was able to continue practicing the breath. So I bought a Komuso necklace. I started wearing it around and told the kids what it was for, how it was supposed to help slow the exhale and help your brain calm down. It became a little bit of a joke the way I would use it while helping my 10 yr old with math, or when my 6 year old would freak out over having hung up on her class call by accident for the 100th time. Soon the kids would walk over to me take the “whistle” and exhale through it a few times and say I feel so much better and then go sit down. It’s a pretty cool thing to have a visible reminder to breathe. And so far it’s helping everyone around me :)

Most adults need pacifiers, just like toddlers do. Cigarettes and eating when stressed or bored are just pacifier seeking behavior. This is a great socially acceptable pacifier for adults.

Listen they may seem very simple but I have struggled with severe anxiety my entire life - I have found that although this doesn’t control your breathing, it gives you something to focus on while doing breathing counts or just focusing on slowing down - I suggest, when they have one for kids - I am going to get one for my son. Great but guys and I love the bigger chain :)

Got one to use with the kids as virtual school has caused some angst. It took me a little to get used to just 'exhaling' versus 'exhaling in a whistle type method'. They like it but the chain is very long. I wear mine and it is a good reminder to chill and stay present even when I am not using it.

You hate to see your kids struggle with all the pressures of the covid world. I gifted one to each of my kids who sometimes struggle. I bought one for myself and my daughter. I work a very stressful job and my daughter is 15 and struggles with the general mental health issues that plague teenagers, only covid has made things a lot worse. The Shift has helped both of us take time out of our day to just focus on us, even if it’s only a minute or two at a time. It still helps to slow us down and keep our problems or stress in perspective. My 8 yr old son can’t wait until Kosumo starts making products for kids. He gets frustrated very easily and would really benefit from slowing down and being calm before moving forward.

The craftsmanship is excellent and very beautiful to wear. Unfortunately, it does not do anything. It does not help with breathing or calming me at all (Yes, I followed the directions). My kids thought it should make some sort of soothing sound on the exhale. I will not be recommending this product to friends or family.

I’ve been a smoker for over half my life. I smoked cigarettes for over ten years, quit for a year then started vaping for the last few years. I truly thought I’d never be able to stop vaping - I needed SOMETHING to take the edge off my anxiety. Using the shift has allowed that something to be my own breath. I use The Shift on a daily basis. I do not have severe panic attacks, but I do have generalized anxiety that affects my life on a daily basis. A few breaths through The Shift and my heart rate will lower and my anxiety disappears. I think part of the reason using The Shift works is because The Shift forces me to stay focused on my breath. When I do breathing exercises without The Shift, my brain will quickly relapses into my anxious thoughts circle. The Shift helps me stay focused on my breathing and allows the long exhales to actually help decrease my anxiety.

I have terrible panic attacks and can not control my breathing. This has made such a difference and really taught me to find my center. I want to help spread your product and promote this to help others feel the freedom that this ya given me.

Having chronic, disabling anxiety and panic attacks for over 30 years, I have tried everything. I’ve even learned the breathing technique the Shift gives you, but there is a problem. When you are in the middle of a severe panic attack, you lose focus and concentration (especially when you are driving on a highway or in a crowd of people and do not want to be embarrassed). That said, having the Shift allows me to drive and when panic sets in, I instantly pop it in my mouth and take my first deep belly inhale. For the mouth exhale, the shift forces you to exhale correctly, which is where the magic happens. Your mind goes off the panic and shifts to your breath, and you exhale slowly. It does not interfere with driving, and is a much better alternative than a 2mg Ativan under your tongue. It works. A soda straw does not. I tried and can tell you for certain to not even waste time with that. This is always with me, available in a second to use, and definitely reduces the severity of panic quickly. For general anxiety, I use it a number of times a day for about 10-20 breaths (exhales in this case last much longer than 10 seconds for me.) It totally promotes an overall feeling of calm. It is made to a very high standard of quality and comes with complete and clear instructions. Komuso did not cut any corners on anything. People say it is expensive, but if your anxiety or panic are too much, it is easily worth the money. It’ll last a lifetime. Highly recommend.

I’ve been dealing with panic attacks since I was 11 years old. Today, I’m 64, still fighting the stress and panic attacks. I have trouble falling asleep at night and I've been on medication for it for many years. Once I get into a rhythm I find that I don’t want to stop and it becomes like 2nd nature. That’s when I feel the calm. After a while it feels like I’m expelling all the toxins from my body. Using the shift is very calming...and I discovered just this week that it's sleep-inducing when you find yourself tossing and turning. I work in healthcare go to therapy and work hard on sell care. No matter what I did my blood pressure did not go down, sleep was not good and was unable to breathe. I have asthma and sometimes have difficulty getting a long-enough exhale, even with pursed-lips exercise. That’s why I bought it, hoping it would help and it does. The Komuso helps to extend my exhale and I’ve felt more comfortable after using it. It’s well-made. I think less and much simpler packaging at this particular time would be better. The presentation is beautiful- I would have preferred the $ savings being passed on and felt terrible throwing out the shipping box, the stuffing, the box it came in and the pouch. I love this item. It is beautifully made and most importantly, it works! I suffer from severe asthma and anxiety. This helped almost immediately the first time I used it. I use it several times throughout the day. I tend to breathe very shallowly and this helps remind me to be more aware of my breath and breathe deeper. I must say, I didn't have much faith in this product when I set out to purchase it, but at the urging of a co-worker who stated "what do you have to lose?", I decided they were right so I took a chance. I was diagnosed with asthma late in life and as a result, I became lost as to how to effectively manage attacks when they occur. I had the inhaler (50/50 helpful); I had antihistamines (75/25 helpful); a nebulizer (80/20 helpful) and even resorted to natural herbal supplements (no help at all)...nothing was working towards a semi-permanent relief of the problem especially when you add severe allergies to the mix. First day the shift arrived, I watched the video and followed the instructions but got dizzy the first time mainly because I was not use to breathing like that. Not to be deterred, I used it the second day (3 times) and each time the dizziness got less & less as I started to get the hang of it. I've had the shift for just under 2 weeks now and I use it daily; at work, in the car, at home, shopping, etc., and I have noticed a difference. Don't get me wrong, the shift will not and cannot replace medical treatment in times of emergencies but what it CAN do is help delay the on-set of an attack by assisting you to control your breathing by lessenly the beginnings of a panic or anxiety attack which in turn can minimize the severity of asthma. So far, I've had 3 asthma attacks since purchasing the shift and I was able to stave one with the help of the shift. I call that a definite win in my book. My goal is to continue to lessen the need for inhalers while learning how to breath better and I think I'm finally on the way to doing that thanks to the shift. I really like my Komuso, the color is cute and the material is good quality. I just stopped smoking and it helps me stay smoke free specially when around friends who smoke. However it is extremely overpriced. I would totally recommend this to my friends if it was more affordable but I dont think anyone should spend this amount of money on a little whistle. I hope you lower the prices soon, because a lower price and a little better marketing and this could become a viral thing!

The Shift has helped me quit smoking by offering both relief from my anxiety as well as the physical act of of putting the Shift to my lips like an actual cigarette. I was pretty sceptical but I needed help with smoking. Using my device properly by breathing in through my nose first I feel good and it does alleviate anxious feelings.

I think I’ve always just sort of breathed how I breathe, I’d that makes sense. Just recently I realized I don’t inhale to my diaphragm enough, so sort of shallow breathing is my norm. I got this to see if this would help my friend stop smoking. It really worked. They do not feel the need to smoke anymore.

The Shift was the gift I wished for for Mother’s Day. I ordered it a little late so I think I received it the day after. Upon taking it out of my mailbox my excitement grew. I read a lot about it, I read a lot of reviews. I came to the conclusion that investing in The Shift could very well change my life positively in many ways. I didn’t open the package right away. I sat & finished watching a show on TV with my 13yo Son. I then had alone time. My emotions were high as I couldn’t wait to receive it. The expectation yet the unknown was present. Now I’ve had The Shift for about 3 weeks & from day one it began to change how I live day to day. I learned how to use it for optimal results. The Shift is beautifully designed & exceeded my expectations. There is a Japanese inscription on it that means “calm.” This adds a very special touch. I use it often during my day, aside from use during meditation. It works just as described. It’s the reassurance I know I have wrapped right me to properly take that time I need to really concentrate on my breath & carry on my with day. A great way to relax throughout your day or before a meditation. The necklace will swing around under my shirt and remind me to check my breathing throughout the day even if I don’t have the time or space to use the shift. Incredible quality of life improvement.

I had pneumonia when I was in college and my left lung has a lower capacity than my right lung. I practice mediation and yoga but often get discouraged that I can improve my breathing. I love it so much! It this coming from one who taught meditation for years!! It has definitely helped me to calm things down mentally and emotionally which benefits me spiritually!
